Not doing what I am supposed to

Today, I have put towels in the wash, eaten granola (new favourite thing), downloaded new versions of Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, something called Photo Show, and blogged for Wales. Even though I have approx. 100 product descriptions to write by this afternoon.

When I am fired, I will sue Microsoft for tempting me with their interesting features.

Ooh, and my vegetable box arrived: cos lettuce, mushrooms (yuk), courgettes (running out of ways to eat these), tomatoes (for margharita pizza later!), cucumber, cabbage of some sort, and new potatoes!

New potatoes are my other favourite thing. What is a better dinner than new potatoes tossed in butter and salt? Damn the anti-carbohydrate brigade. DAMN YOU, ATKINS!!!!

    have you tried stuffing corgettes?
    cut them in half lengthwise,
scoop the middle out making a little boat. fry some onions, garlic, the middle of the corgettes and anything else you have handy, plus some coriander. then put it all back in the corgette boats, sprinkle some cheese and pine nuts over and grill. yum

    Yummy! Nice with ricotta, too...

Have also tried them Provencal-style with plenty of garlic and tomato, stir-fried with noodles and coriander pesto, stir-fried with pasta and tomato sauce... it isn't that I don't like them, just stretching the imagination. Haven't yet tried the River Cafe's raw-courgette tapas... yucky?! I put that in my latest NC seasonal eating slot:

Fry courgettes and put them in an omelette with mushrooms and plenty of cheese.

Making my mouth water... need food, badly.

Courgette muffins are nice and Ainsley (My food hero) Harriott has a fab looking recipe for courgette fritters!
